FAQs

  • Fear not my lovehearts. If you love the colour and want tips on how to bring this I am here to help. Keep in mind the bread and butter of my wedding photography will always be connection; raw, candid emotion and playful joy. Which is present in all celebrations. But yesss it’s definitely a whole lotta fun with some spiciness added ;)

I am a colour whisperer. I have a closet full of add-ons for creative shoots, and wedding vendors and DIY hacks that can help bring the vibes. Just ask me when we catch up.

  • You’d be surprised how often my couples say this to me. In fact, I promise you, most of the photos you’ve been admiring on this site are of folk who once upon a time said such things. I think it’s both deeply human and endearing to be a bit awkward in front of the lens, and also my job to help you feel comfortable.

Most of your wedding day is a documentary approach (no posing, just me capturing). For your couple session or creative shoot (engagement session), we make it playful, painless and with cute direction wherever needed. DW I got you.

  • A topic I love to riff about. Essentially an antidote to how patriarchy has sneakily made us feel like it created / owns the celebration of Love. Including who is eligible and how it should be done. It’s the process of reclaiming that conditioning. Learning about what rituals are (legally) necessary for a marriage to be solemnised, which parts are ancient ritual, and which parts are just patriarchy turning them into an outdated form of lady-trade.

Regardless of the category each fall in, we keep what is meaningful to you, and liberate you from being pressured into anything for formality’s sake. Allowing your wedding to feel as authentically, creatively, intentionally You. More riffing here.

  • Yes. My Creative Shoots are essentially my engagement sessions. I understand there can be a bit of cringe associated with a typical engagement shoot. Sometimes you just can’t stave off the stigma, so I find it’s better to start a-new! Rename and reimagine them.

My Creative Shoots serve a bunch of purposes: some couples genuinely want to celebrate their engagement, some want to create concepts not possible on their wedding day (e.g. fabulously extra outfits, leaping in the ocean, smothering themselves in smoke, travelling to cool locations, multiple looks). Some are looking for an extended portrait session without missing out on time with loved ones on their wedding day. Others want to get comfy in front of the lens, some use the photos to excite their guests via their digital wedding invites. Learn more about my Creative Shoots here.

  • My wedding packages start price can be found here. I take a 25% deposit. The remainder is not due until one month before your wedding date.

  • Absolutely. I live in Marrickville (Inner West Sydney) and my workspace is in Zetland (near Alexandria / Botany). I’m always up for a tea, vino or a pub meal near any of these locations during the week. I get that taking your photo is personal and you want to feel safe / have a vibe with the person doing it. It matters. Drop me an email and we can organise a catch up.

  • Well folk say I’m warm, creative, caring and make them feel safe and excited through the process. Permissed to lean into the magic of it all.

The process itself looks like: you reach out to me via the contact page form, I call you for a chat , we find the right package for you and get your date secured, we catch up in irl (if possible) to get to know each other (and I help with run sheet, provide tips, hacks and support!) We plan and shoot your creative shoot if you’re having one, you get your photos. Then we do a final run through in the week before your wedding and get you in position for FUN TIMES.

I have a process to manage all the above for us so you know exactly what’s happening when, for stress free times. Yip yippity.

  • I aim to have your full gallery edited, uploaded and out to you 8 weeks after your wedding or shoot date.

  • Yes I travel! No fee for up to 90 mins out of Sydney. Beyond that, hit me up for a custom quote.

  • Yesssss I have loads of recommendations for celebrants and vendors that can really help bring the magic. The added bonus here is we have vendor chemistry, which means more collaborative magic, more synergies, more yum injected into your day (oh the blessings of inter-connected community!) When you book me these tips, referrals and resources are part of the service. (You’re welcome!)

  • Yes, I am a fully insured hamster. I have PL (public liability insurance) which venues occasionally ask for. If they do, just holler and I can email it across.

  • Yes! I offer Fine Art Print Albums. I work with a fabulous, fine art, femme-led, Australian printer (based down in Naarm/ Melbourne) who I am obsessed with. Turning your photographs into physical prints means you can have them around you as Art on the daily. You enjoy them often, easily, with others, minus the screens.

There are a tonne of benefits to ordering prints through your photographer. For example:

    1. We get access to high quality printers not otherwise available to the public

    2. Our computer screens (i.e. the one your photos were edited on) are calibrated to their printers.

I also offer a Wedding Prints Registry. Weddings can be a spenno investment, I geddit. Let your guests gift you the joy of print art. So you have a tangible treat to enjoy in your home.

  • Head to my contact page, fill in the details and I’ll reach out! Easy peasy.
